As of this fall, I’m on board with NV Concepts Promo (the same peeps that brought Mike Posner and Wiz Khalifa) and the next artist to come the PV area is J. Cole. Featured in Jay Z’s “A Star is Born”, J. Cole has quite the following.
J. Cole, the first artist signed to Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation will be performing on Saturday Dec. 11th at the Hippodrome/Paramount Theater in Springfield MA. He just released the highly anticipated “Friday Night Lights” mixtape and is poised for hip-hop super-stardom. See him right here in Western, MA before he absolutely blows up next year.

Thanksgiving break is already here!! Not such a big deal to me but a holiday is a holiday ^^.
All 4 of us are going to be doing our own thang … Aileen is off to NYC/DC, Ashley is back home in Manhattan and Sharone flew down (hopefully she didn’t miss her flight =P) to Miami!! And I, who was originally determined to spend a peaceful, nerdy break on campus, am off to Boston.
I’m not sure where I am def going for Thanksgiving Dinner. Worcester, boston, Springfield … we’ll see, regardless I’m sure it’ll be good. Only thing is, I wish was spending it with my family since thats the whole purpose of it?
Theres a lot to be thankful for this year….. and theres a lot to be sad about too. A student in moho passed away, her reason of death is still unknown to me. She had such a presence on campus and her death has shocked me. R.I.P Ande Grahn, I hope you’re in a better place.
And then we have the situation in the Koreas… hopefully the prayers of us hoping for peace and some sort of reconciliation will be granted.

I think I might’ve mentioned that I would be heading down to NYC for the weekend… so I was at my first photoshoot! I was not behind the camera nor was I infront of it. I worked behind the scenes and it was a refreshing experience. I’m not going to disclose detailed information just for the sake of it. I don’t want to jinx it but I think I’m almost 100% sure that I have a potential job now. I guess I will be disclosing that when everythings finalized ^^.
The fun part of the week[end]:
I went to Boston on Thursday just b/c I just really needed to get away for MANY reasons. It was a solo trip this time, I stayed with my friend Ali again (who goes to BU) for a night before heading down to NYC for work <3. She has a super cute apartment around Packards Corner and her roomies are super chill. I’ll post pictures of Ali and I during my birthday weekend.. alsooooo kinda embarassing, I agreed to model for a t-shirt design to help a friend start up a fresh tees company “Pink Eye”.. so I was able to get some shots of Ali rocking the tee which i will put up. If you like the design, the white v-kneck tees are custom made from American Apparrel $15.

A part of the reason I went to beantown was to hang out with a new friend and I got to see what their work was like. I got to meet some pretty cool people at a diesel promo thing, everythings about promo in my entries.. I’m sorry I just seem to live and breathe promo.. haha. Speaking of, I sacrificed Wiz Khalifa and Flux [and an Amherst Zoo Party] for Boston and NYC. But I finally got some good sleep on Thursday by calling it an early night =).
oh yea, even though the weekend away was more relaxing and rejuvenating… I had to wake up really early 3 days in a row (which i haven’t done since the film festival) AND I walked a TONN in my Zara booties. Which are super comfy. I feel healthier though and happier in the longest time. I hope this lasts. Atleast till winter break.
On to my NYC trip, shoot wrapped up earlier than expected so I had sometime to meet up with some friends and new friends. Disco fries and hot chocolate all the way (I filled myself with bagels and OJ to keep myself going through the shoot. hmmmm cream cheese). SO the best part of this night was a bike ride through the city from 110th street all the way to the Flat Iron District. My friend fb messaged me and I was sold when the bike was an option for a ride… haha EXCEPT despite my excitement, the last few times I went on bikes was in Asia so its been awhile. Not to mention, I thought I’d be fine in my dress and boots b/c I’ve done that many times. But basically the best part of the night was also kind of terrifying hahaha.
I had a sore left arm from holding on so tight. BUT the driver was safe none-the-less. Sadly no photos from the weekend. I seriously need to stop slacking with that.
It was an interesting weekend, I was positive that I was going to miss my ride back to South Hadley this morning. BUT it all worked out even though I was an hour late. (THANK YOU UNIVERSE <3)

So lately I’ve been obsessing over my nails again. You all know how much I love nail art (see my facebook album: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=27184&id=1554900004). Silvena did my nails the other day from a design we saw on http://beebeaut.blogspot.com/. It’s a funky leopard print:
It’s basically two coats of white polish (the one I’m holding), and then a few dots/splatters of colored polish over that (in any color you’d like, but the more pastel, the better so the black will stand out more on top). Then, we took a thin paintbrush and painted on the black leopard print circles/spots.
I’ve been haunting http://www.vivalanails.co.uk/ for nail plate patterns, nail art canes, and rhinestones and stuff. They do free shipping to the US for orders of over 50 quid…so I’m thinking about spending a good amount. I should also check on ebay though…I’m thinking that’d probably be even cheaper and there may be more selections. I feel like it’d just be complicated finding everything though…but we’ll see. I’ll keep you guys updated!
Also, in other news—I’m growing my hair out. Yeah, that patch I shaved off in London. My favorite part about the shaved part was putting designs into it–I’ve done Chinese characters, my horoscope sign (cancer), a DNA double helix, my class year (2011), etc. It’s been fun, but now I’m a little tired of it. Plus, it seems like EVERYONE is getting it these days.
It’s funny, actually. The top post our blog gets hits for is the “I SHAVED MY HEAD” (http://internationalsensasians.com/2010/05/05/i-shaved-my-head/) entry I wrote a while back. I keep getting messages from girls who are interested in the cut, asking me things like how long it’ll take to grow back, what my friends think, and how well can it be covered up. Well, now that I’m growing it back, I’m starting to realize just now painstakingly slow the process will be. My right side is roughly a foot and a half shorter than my left side and that’s probably going to take at least two years to even out. I guess I might as well start now then… (this is how it looks now as its growing out slowly…)
Also, someone recently friended me over facebook that I noticed had posted my picture onto their page. THAT IS WEIRD AND CREEPY. Please do not use my images online without my explicit permission. You can print out a picture to show your stylist if you want, but DONT BE UPLOADING MY FACE ALL OVER YOUR BLOG AND/OR FACEBOOK. -____-;;

So Aileen and I spent my birthday weekend in Boston (thanks for coming even though you were sickkk!!! <3 ) with Alex, Bobby, Sim and some new friends. Just as life would have it, a series of events made it a very turbulent weekend but needless to say it was one of the best Boston trips I’ve had. Ambivalence is annoying but the balance that is restored is the universe’s way of making things OK i guess.
I finally got the ZARA boots I’ve been obsessing about =P. I can honestly say, no ounce of regret ^_^
soooo on 10/nov/10, i celebrated my 2nd annual 21st birthday in freshside amherst. It was a lovely turnout and I achieved my goal of “eat,drink and be merry.” Thank you to those who came!! and those who didn’t make it… I wish you could’ve!! <3

anyway, so i’m way overdue for an update.
i have so much to say, but i don’t even know how to organize my thoughts into words. i guess here’s the lowdown…
september: adjusting back to moho life. orgs, friends, classes…getting back into the groove
october: settling into ecaasu planning, getting familiar with classes, and worrying about my future
november: kunkus birthday! my mommys birthday! variasians! and…?
since coming back from nyc, i’ve come to realize a few things.
that people change. that times change. that feelings change…and i really cant keep holding onto any sort of ephemeral, vague memory of something…even if it was one of the best somethings ever.
i’ve tried—enough, really. now it’s time to move on with what i’m doing. if you know me, you know i’m always going on about having no expectations, so there will never be disappointment. i really need to start following my own advice and rules.
anyway, life is alright right now most of the time anyway. and when it’s not, i know it’s not and i ask for help. maybe it’s the stress of classes, the shock of being back at school after london and nyc, or maybe it’s the pressure of the future and reminders of the past—ive been a bit emotionally unstable lately. it’s alright though. i got a therapist and i’m going to sort myself out. i’m not embarrassed to say i need help–help sorting out my thoughts and feelings and whatnot. it’s not anything serious…i guess i’m just anxious to be back to happy normality.
