Right so this is pretty belated but last…

Right, so this is pretty belated, but last month I cut my hair!

I had decided very last minute to cut all my hair off. The shaved side was growing out and I had dyed it blonde so the growing out process would look better.

i was getting tired of dying and redying/bleaching it when the roots grew out though..and increasingly over time it would get oranger and oranger….so i decided to fix the problem (and my damaged long hair) by just chopping it all off. I googled “best asian salon in dc area” and ozuki came up. i immediately called and made an appointment for the next available time .

the day rolls around and Annie and i went to ozuki salon in georgetown to get our ‘dos. she got layers and i got an ai takahashi inspired cut! my stylist, keiko, did a wonderful job =D

My new hair is longer in the back and shorter in the front, with lots and lots of layers and thick straight bangs. i usually put wax in it but lately i’ve been lazy, so it just lies flat except for the back where it does weird standing up things (cause my hair is naturally wavy).

Sometimes i feel like with my short hair its harder to feel sexy. I can’t hide behind it, toss it, have it flowing in the wind, or whatever else action we take for granted when we have long hair. i miss my long hair a lot, and it will take years for it to grow back as long as it was x___x i also can’t wear some of the same things i used to be able to wear; some dresses or outfits just look bad with my hair. it’s weird, but trust me, it really does look awkward!

oh well, there’s also a lot more i can do with my short hair & i can style it up lots of different ways! im glad i did it…there’s no turning back anyway
